What can you do in Tenerife?

Tenerife is a volcanic island in the Atlantic ocean off the cost of Africa and a popular winter escae for northern Europeans seeking sun and sea. The southern part of the island is ideal for a beach holiday, the north is more mountainous and perfect for hiking.

How do you get from Tenerife south airport to Los Cristianos and the south coast?

To get from the airport in Tenerife South to your final destinations you can take buses, taxis or hire a car.

  • Buses leave from arrivals ground floor. Bus number 411 serves Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. Fares from the airport to Los Cristianos are around € 3.20 one way. Bus 343 also serves Los Cristianos.

  • Taxis are avalable from arrivals and will cost around 25€ to Playa de las Americas. Jounrey time is 20 minutes.

  • Hire cars are to be found on the ground floor and first floor of arrivals.

There are 2 airports in Tenerife: Tenerife South and Tenerife North. Direct flights from Luton are available to Tenerife South , which would be the first choice for all those planning a relaxed beach holiday on the south coast of the island. Is Tenerife expensive?
