Is there public transport from Mallorca airport?
The distance from the airport to the city of Palma de Mallorca is only 9 kilometres. A taxi costs around 30 euros and buses run up to 4 times an hour and only cost around 3 euros. Other resorts around the island are also reachable by bus directly from the airport. Many travellers will opt for hire cars and these should be reserved online in advance of travel.
There are a number of accommodation options in the city and the surrounding area. Whether luxury hotels, villas or cheaper hotels from around 50€ /p.p./night - holidaymakers can find the right accommodation for them in every category. In addition, hostels and B&Bs are available from around 20 €/p.p./night. Due to demand, prices rise during the peak travel season from July to September. Mallorca has a dense and inexpensive bus network with trams also operating in the city of Palma. Taxis will also take holidaymakers everywhere, but the city itself can also be easily explored on foot. Those who want to explore the rest of the island from Palma de Mallorca can do so without difficulty, since connections are good. There is a bus and train network as well as inexpensive bicycle and car hire services.
