As the largest and most populous island in the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a wonderful and entertaining place for relaxation and adventure with its diverse landscapes that include beaches, mountains, lush forests full of wildlife, and even a volcano. For enjoyable entertainment, head into the city and hang out at the wild nightclubs or visit during the Carnival in Santa Cruz. No matter what you like to do, there's something for everyone in scenic Tenerife.

Those with more flexible schedules will find the best time for great deals on accommodation is during September, when the majority of other travellers are heading home. At this point the weather is very nice and will stay consistent during your time there.
Flight prices to Tenerife are lower from January to April, but this is one of the peak seasons for tourism to the island so you can expect accommodation prices to rise significantly.
The wide variety of things to do in Tenerife, both outdoors and indoors, makes it the perfect year-round destination. In South Tenerife you'll find the weather is a bit warmer and not quite as wet as in the North.

Restaurants and food prices are just a little lower than what you're used to paying in the UK. Accommodation in hostels/pensions is available for about 20 euros per night; 3+ star hotels will cost from around 35 euros per night.
