Fleet
Ethiopian Airlines has a modern fleet. fleet consists of 11 aircraft (July 2007). domestic flights are operated using Fokker 50 and DHC-6, Medium haul flights are operated with Boeing B737-260, B757-260 and B737-700 aircraft. Long haul flights use Boeing B767-300s .
History
The Ethiopian airline was founded on 30th December 1945 with the help of the American airline TWA. The first international flight took off a year later on 8th April from Addis Ababa to Cairo. Since 1998 Ethiopian Airlines also operates transatlantic flights.
