Airport Ercan, Cyprus ECN

Ercan Airport is the main international airport of the Republic of Northern Cyprus, which has existed since 1983 but has so far only been recognised as an independent state by Turkey. The airport is near Niscosia, the capital of Cyprus. The other airport on Cyprus is called Larnaca Airport and is in the southern part of the island. Ercan airport is served by flights from London and Manchester.

  • Directions by car: The airport is located about 6 miles east of Lefkosa, near the road that leads to Gazimağusa.

Location

The airport is located about 6 miles east of Lefkosa / Nicosia, near the village of Ercan / Tymvou. From Lefkosa use the motorway towards Gazimağusa / Famagusta to the town of Pirhan / Pirga and then head northwards to Nergizli / Yenagra, from here the airport is signposted. Alternatively, use the road from Gökhan / Vonier to Geçitkale / Lefkonuk, the airport is also signposted.

A shuttle bus connection from / to the airport is currently not available. Package holidaymakers are usually transferred from and to the airport. Taxis are also available at the airport.
