Historic Kozhikode

The best time to travel to Kozhikode is from December until March when the weather is pleasantly mild. The city has a humid and tropical climate which is very hot from March till May. The monsoon season is from June until September and October through to November. 

Kozhikode is known for its many holidays and festivals like Diwali, a Hindu festival at the end of October. Shivarathri Utsavam is held in Mahaganapathy Temple in October. For five days in January there's the Malabar Mahotsavam which hosts exciting music, dance and drama.
