Kerala's Kozhikode

Kozhikode is also known as Calicut and is a city based in the state of Kerala on the Malabar Coast of southern India. It is also the third largest city in the whole of Kerala. In classical antiquity and during the middle ages the town was called  the "City of Spices", this was because of the central role that it played in the sale of spices.
