Palma de Mallorca is the capital city of the largest Balearic Island and it is full of interesting sites to see. Palma is great to visit all year round and makes an excellent weekend destination in every season. The weather gets very hot in the summer months and it is cold with the possibility of snow in December and January.  May, June, October and November sees warm enough temperature for shorts and t-shirts.

Palma enjoys festivals and large events every year where locals and visitors join in special celebrations. Enjoy 'Nit de Foc' on the 23rd and 24th June when all-night music and fireworks are organised to celebrate midsummer. Easter in Spain begins on the Thursday afternoon with a procession when Palma holds one of the largest parades ever organised. Easter Friday and Sunday are observed with church services and huge picnics. On the 19th and 20th of January there's a Festa de Sant Sebastiá - honouring the patron saint of Palma - which is one of the most spectacular festivals in Mallorca.
