Information on Bangkok Airways
Bangkok Airways is a private airline which was launched in 1968 under the name of Sahakol Air. Scheduled flights were first operated in 1986 and the name was changed to Bangkok Airways in 1989. In recent years hubs have also been set up in Koh Samui and Sokuthai to meet growing demands and the airline has also founded a subsidiary company Siam Reap in Kambotscha. The airline serves Thai and nearby Asian airports e.g. Pattaya, Pakse, Yangon, Hong Kong, Singapore or Phnom Pen. Codeshare agreements exist with a number of international airlines.
