Airport Lanzarote Arrecife ACE
Lanzarote airport orArrecife Airport, is near the town of the same name on the Canary Island of Lanzarote. By traffic volume, it is one of the 10 major airports in Spain, due to the fact that it is served almost daily by cheap flights from European airports to Lanzarote. Due to the mild climate and year-round excellent weather on the Canaries, there is virtually no off peak season. Almost 70% of the sun-seeking Europeans come from Germany and Britain. Popular cheap flights to Lanzarote from London, Belfast, and Manchester are operated by Aer Lingus, Easyjet, Ryanair and Thomas Cook. Many tourists heading for the beach resorts on the island of Lanzarote will already have a package deal which includes flight and accommodation and will be staying at hotels in Playa Blanca for example. The very busy Lanzarote airport is administered by AENA, who are also responsible for monitoring Spanish airspace. There are two terminals at the airport: Terminal 1 is used for international and domestic flights with a departures area on the first floor of the building. The second terminal, T2 is used for flights within the Canary islands and has 5 boarding gates.
