Fleet
Ryanair owns only aircraft of the type Boeing 737 and is planning to bu,y approximately 120 new Boeing 737-800 by 2010.
Network
Ryanair only operates point to point flights so that no connections have to be offered. Ryanair thereby does not have classic type hubs such as Amsterdam or Frankfurt.
As Europe’s leading low-coast airline Ryanair operates on 346 routes between 21 countries in Europe, and more than 100 airports are served. London’s Stansted airport is one of the 15 bases in Europe and also the most important.
Destinations outside Europe serve airports in Morocco, Israel and Jordan. About a quarter of all airports served by Ryanair are in the UK and Ireland. 20% of Ryanair flights operate between the islands but Ryanair is in the process of developing its European network. In Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Poland, Ryanair has also established itself and serves plenty of routes in these countries. North African destinations are being planned for the future. This, along with the expansion in eastern Europe, follows the strategy of the main competitor, easyJet.
