Kefalonia Int. Airport is an important airport in Greece. It is on the Ionian island of the same name, between Lefkada and Zakynthos in the Gulf of Patras. Together with the neighbouring island Ithaka and the uninhabited Echinades it forms a prefecture of its own. The airport is administered by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace.- URL: Official website

Location
The airport is in the far southwest of the island in the parish of Svoronata, about 5 miles south of the islands capital Argostili. There is currently no shuttle bus to the airport. Passengers who have booked a package deal will normally be transferred between accommodation and airport by their tour operator.
