The night of fire, "Nit de Foc" is celebrated on the 23rd and 24th June, the night before St. John's Day (24th June). This day is celebrated with music and fireworks. During March and April there there are Semana Santa, Easter celebrations with processions. On the 19-20 January, Festa de Sant Sebastiá, Palma de Mallorca's patron saint is celebrated with a music festival. Enjoy exhibitions, fire runs, concerts, fireworks and street food.

Hostels or b&b's cost about 20EUR per person per night. Prices are higher during the peak season from July to September. Palma is a place to walk and stroll and attractions are easily accessed. The public transport system is good. There are buses and a metro system that are cheaper than taxi travel. Use trains and buses that depart from Plaza de Espana, in Palma to explore other parts of the island. Car hire and bike hire is cheap and fun .
