Information on TUI Airways
TUI Airways, which used to be known as Thomson Airways, is part of TUI Group and owns a fleet of 64 aircraft. The airline carries more than 6 million passengers each year from 22 UK airports to over 70 destinations in 30 countries. TUI Airways goes back to Thomsonfly, which was founded in Luton in 1962 and originally called Euravia, then Britannia. In 2008, the airline was merged with First Choice Holidays and became Thomson Airways. It was renamed TUI Airways in 2017. From its bases in Birmingham, Cardiff and Glasgow for example, customers are able to book holidays and flights to a number of holiday destinations around the Mediterranean in popular beach resorts in Greece, Italy and Spain. The company, however, also provides services to many other destinations around the globe.
