Airport Warsaw-Modlin WMI

Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport is a civilian airport in the Polish capital city, Warsaw. There are plans for the airport to relieve the main airport Warsaw Chopin in the future. As a result of restructuring, two low-cost airlines - Wizzair and Ryanair - have moved to the airport and are now also operating regular flights to and from Modlin airport.

Location

The airport was first in use in 1940 as a military base and has been used for passenger air traffic since 2010. It is located around 38 km or 23 miles form the capital city Warsaw near the town ofNowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

It is easy to reach on the main road Droga ekspresowa #S7/ Europastraße #E77. A shuttle bus provides a regular service between the terminal and the train station in Modlin, which is located 4km from the airport. From Warsaw main train station, there are also buses going to the airport operated by PKS, Translud and Modlin airport express. Wizzair also has a shuttle service starting at Zlota Street near the main station. Please consult the Wizzair website for further details.
