Things to note before travelling

You should also have at least 2 pages to be blank in your passport for your visa and it should be valid for at least 180 days, from the time of your application. You should also carry a polio vaccine certificate for entry if arriving from certain countries, and hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus and diphtheria shots are all recommended.

Women should be extra vigilant while travelling alone in the city. Prices in India are relatively cheaper than in the UK, although top quality electronics cost around the same amount.

Indian Standard Time is UTC/GMT, which is +5.30 hours ahead of UK winter time. There is no daylight saving time in Delhi, so the country is 4.30 hours ahead of the UK during the summer.
