Tips and tricks to help you find cheap flights from London to Bangkok

Useful information about the flight from London to Bangkok
Enjoy the Thai capital
Bangkok is a thriving metropolis just waiting to be explored. The city is filled with an amazing array of food, shopping, markets, cultural sites and lively entertainment to keep visitors busy from dusk until dawn.
When to go to Bangkok
Thailand is at GMT +7, and does not observe summertime. The tropical climate is year-round so you can be sure to escape the European chill no matter when you decide to travel. Monsoon season is from June till November when you can expect humid weather, above average rain and occasional flooding. Thais celebrate Wan Trut Chin, the first day of the New Year based on the Chinese calendar - exact dates vary year to year in February. The most important celebration for Thais is Songkran, the Thai New Year celebrations on 13-15th April. Watch out, water is used to symbolise the washing away of the past year's bad luck, you will get wet!
Bangkok preparation advice
British Passport holders do not require a visa and are allowed to stay for up to 30 days. However, passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. Recommended vaccines for Thailand include hepatitis A, typhus, tetanus, diphtheria, rabies and malaria prophylaxis (ask your GP). The cost of living is generally much lower than in the UK, particularly on food and transport. Thailand is the 'Land of Smiles', be sure to always smile back! It is rude to show some emotions including anger.
Getting around: important facts on transportation
There are a variety of transport options in Bangkok. From Bangkok airport to central Bangkok you can use the Airport Rail Link Express (direct train) that costs around 120 THB. The other rail option is the Airport Link City Line (with stops), which takes longer, but is slightly cheaper. You can also take a taxi for a reasonable rate directly to your accommodation. Getting around on the metro is a cheap and easy option in Bangkok and is often fastest in peak traffic times. Taxis are popular, speedy and also cheap - always make sure the taxi driver has started the meter at the start of your journey. Tuk Tuks are a fun experience but are a tourist trap; they are often expensive and will require you to haggle over the price.
