Tips and tricks to help you find cheap flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok

Useful information about the flight from London Heathrow to Bangkok
When is the best time to book a flight to Bangkok?
Bangkok is bustling all year round. Late November and early December are perhaps the best times to visit, when the city has recovered from the monsoon season and the holiday crowds have not yet arrived. September and October are the rainiest months in Bangkok. The best weather for Thailand's beaches and islands is from December to March. One of the biggest festivals is the Thai New Year, Songkran. It takes place in mid-April and attracts a particularly large number of visitors. Due to cold temperatures in Europe, there is also a strong surge of visitors at Christmas and New Year.
What can you expect when you get to Bangkok?
Bangkok is a fascinating city with a lot to experience. It's loud, crowded, colourful and exciting and can be a little overwhelming at times. There are temples, ancient sites and other attractions to visit. A visit to Wat Pho is a must for any traveller to Bangkok, as it is home to the reclining Buddha, which is fifteen metres high and forty-six metres long. Bangkok is also the starting point for trips to many other parts of Thailand such as Phuket, Chiang Mai or Ko Samui.
How expensive is Bangkok?
Weekly market shopping, restaurant visits and overnight stays in Bangkok are cheaper than in the UK. Lunch costs about MKD 120, beer about MKD 120 and soft drinks about MKD 100. From the airport, take the "Vardar-Ekspres" shuttle bus to the bus station in the centre. The journey (about MKD 175) takes about 35 minutes with stops at the Capitol Mall shopping centre and in the city centre at the Holiday Inn hotel. The bus network is cheap, but taxi rides are also cheaper than at home: the first two kilometres cost about 50 MKD, each additional kilometre about 25 MKD.
Overnight stays in a guesthouse or backpacker hostel cost about MKD 600 per night, a three-star hotel from about MKD 1,500 per night and person.
How do you prepare for your trip to Bangkok?
British Passport holders will need passports that are valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. No visa are needed for tourist stays up to 30 days. There are no mandatory vaccines for entry into Thailand, it is recommended that all the usual vaccines be up to date. Ask a doctor about the possible need for Malaria prophylaxis.
