The most convenient mode of transport for getting to the mountains is by hire car. Geneva has a distinct cuisine, and there are many local specialities such as the Longeole sausage. Free public transport is available from the Aéroport International de Genève to the city centre. A room in a 3-star hotel costs from about 135 CHF per night. For getting about the city, there are trams, buses and trolley buses.
