Tips and tricks to help you find cheap flights from Bahrain to Delhi

Useful information about the flight from Bahrain to Delhi
Delhi: Two worlds merging into one
Delhi is a wonderful destination that blends together the contrasting worlds of Old and New Delhi. The former has an Islamic past, with beautiful mosques and ancient relics, while New Delhi bears remnants of imperialism created by the British Raj, with orderly spacious streets and stately architectural structures. This destination is home to some of the most captivating monuments, awe-inspiring museums and art galleries, vivacious markets and superb restaurants.
Best time to visit for weather and events
The best time to visit Delhi is between the months of October and March, as you'll get the best of the weather during these times. If visiting in March, you can catch the Holi Spring Festival, although the precise date for this particular event is determined by the Hindu calendar and will vary. Independence Day falls on the 15th August when the city hosts a massive and spectacular parade.
Considerations before you travel
You'll need to arrange for a visa with the Indian High Commission before travelling and your passport should have at least two blank pages for your visa. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 180 days at the time of your visa application. Valid polio vaccine certificates are needed for entry into Delhi if arriving from some countries, and hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus and diphtheria vaccines are also recommended. In regards to safety, women should be extra vigilant while out travelling alone. Cost wise, prices are cheaper in Delhi in comparison to those in the UK, although you'll spend around the same amount on quality electronics. India Standard Time is UTC/GMT plus five and a half hours during the UK winter season. Delhi doesn't operate on daylight saving time and in the summer it is 4:30 hours ahead of the UK.
Local Delhi transport and accommodation
The Metro line 2 travels from the airport to the city centre from 4.40 am till 23.30 pm. Alternatively, you can catch the shuttle bus to Connaught Place, or use a prepaid taxi. Choose from a guest house or hostel accommodation for around 500 INR a night. Affordable three star hotels cost around 1400 INR on average a night per person. Taxis are a lot cheaper in Delhi than in London and the public transportation network including buses, metros and rickshaws offer an even cheaper alternative.
