Finnair has a network that covers about 50 international destinations, with seasonal fluctuations. The company operates long-haul flights to New York and Miami (in the winter) in North America and Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo in Asia. Finnair is to launch a scheduled service to Venice, Italy in March 2005. The airline flies to 16 destinations within Finland. The domestic network is one of the most well connected in the world in relation to the country's population. Along with its regular scheduled air traffic, Finnair also operates charter flights to more than 60 destinations. Charter services serve mainly holiday resorts in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, South-East Asia as well as destinations in the Caribbean and South America.
