London: A magnificent multicultural metropolis

London is an expensive place and congestion charges apply if driving in the city's inner zone. Each vehicle is charged approximately £11 from Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm.
Local information
London airports are well connected to central London via public transport. The Piccadilly line from terminals 1, 2 or 3 is the cheapest way to travel from Heathrow Airport. A single ticket costs around £6 and the journey time takes about 30 minutes. The Heathrow Express from terminals 1, 2 and 3 offers a faster alternative. Hotels cost about £40 or more per night. Travelling around London is easy via the underground, trains and buses. A single ticket costs around £5.70, while Travelcards cost around £12 to £15. An Oyster Card gives slight discounts and is available upon paying a £5 refundable deposit.
