Jinnah International Airport, or Karachi Jinnah International Airport, is the largest of the airports in the South Asian Islamic Republic of Pakistan and is the main hub of the national airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Karachi airport used to be called Quaid-e-Azam International Airport and is the largest airport in Pakistan. The airport uses one terminal, the Jinnah Terminal, for national as well as international flights. Location
First in use in 1929, the airport is located about 17 kilometres or 10 miles northeast of the city of Karachi and can be reached on the highway 5. Between the airport and the city centre, there is a regular shuttle bus service every 30 minutes, alternatively take a taxi, a Tuk-Tuk or rent a car.
