Airport Brindisi BDS
Brindisi Airport (it.: Aeroporto di Brindisi Papola-Casale), also known as Papola Casale Airport or Aeroporto Internazionale del Salento, is the most important airport in the south-west Italian region of Apulia besides with Bari airport. Flights to Brindisi are operated by Air Berlin, Air One, Easyjet and Ryanair on a scheduled and seasonal basis. Location
Opened in 1923, the airport is 1 mile north east of the city centre. Those passengers arriving by car please take the SS379/E55 motorway to the exit Brindisi-Casale and then continue on the SP1 ( Via Provinciale San Vito) following the signs to the airport for 1 mile.
Rail passengers take trains to Brindisi main railway station and either take a taxi or the STP bus for the airport. There is also a bus to the airport from Lecce.
Car hire: the easiest way to get from the airport to the surrounding towns and villages is by rental car.
