Favourite time to travel

The balmy shores attract many visitors from the middle of November to the end of May. The average temperature during the Winter is about 28° Celsius, which is throughout November to February. Most travellers avoid Monsoon season which is from June until the end of October. Before your arrival In Goa

You will hear Marathi and Hindi spoken in Goa, although the official language is actually Konkani. If you are travelling during a festival, you should make sure that you book your stay well in advance, including your hotel and transportation from the airport. It is difficult to get them last minute during celebrations. Meals are cheaper in Goa than you would normally see in New Delhi. A restaurant meal is about Rs 400, while a thali starts at Rs 150. In the middle of the day there is a siesta. Most shops are closed during siesta time which lasts from approximately 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. When visiting Panaji most of the shops close at about 8 PM.

Kadamba bus fares begin at Rs 3 for 2 km and Rs 1 for each additional km. Rooms in Goa vary in price.
