Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is the largest and most important commercial airport in the eastern Chinese province of Fujian. It is the hub of Xiamen Airlines, which is the oldest regional airline operating in the country. There are regular scheduled flights from Xiamen to Beijing, Changchun, Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Kunming, Lanzhou Liancheng, Sanya, Shanghai, Wuhan, Xian and Zhengzhou. Location
The airport was first in use in 1941 and is located about 10 km or 7 miles north-east of the city centre. It is easy to reach on the motorway and the G319 Chenggong Avenue. Between the city centre and the airport there is a regular shuttle bus, current timetables are available locally, alternatively please take a taxi to get to and from the airport.
