Location
The airport was first in use in 1940 as a military base and has been used for passenger air traffic since 2010. It is located around 38 km or 23 miles form the capital city Warsaw near the town ofNowy Dwór Mazowiecki.
It is easy to reach on the main road Droga ekspresowa #S7/ Europastraße #E77. A shuttle bus provides a regular service between the terminal and the train station in Modlin, which is located 4km from the airport. From Warsaw main train station, there are also buses going to the airport operated by PKS, Translud and Modlin airport express.
