Location
The Airport was opened in 1939 and is located about 3 miles north of Kemi and approximately 12 miles east of Tornio in the village of Vilmilä. From Kemi use the 4/E-75 in a northerly direction and follow the airport signs. From Tornio use the national road 4/E-75 in an easterly direction to the town of Vilmilä and then follow the airport signs.

Rail and bus passengers head for Kemi main train or bus stations and then use a taxi to the Airport.
