History
Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. was founded back in 1946 in Hong Kong and began operations with two aircraft.
in 1959, the airline took over its main competitor, Hong Kong Airways. In the 80s, the airline continued its expansion to include the European market. The first flight route was from Hong Kong to London Gatwick. In 2006 Cathay Pacific took over Dragonair and now serves 20 destinations in China with this airline.
