Information about Luxair

Luxair is the national airline of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and has played an important role in connecting the country with major European destinations for more than six decades. Its origins date back to 1948, when Luxembourg Airlines Company was established. In 1961, the company was reorganized and renamed Luxair – Société Luxembourgeoise de Navigation Aérienne.

Fleet

Luxair operates a mixed fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, De Havilland Dash 8 Q400 turboprops, and modern Embraer E195-E2 regional jets. The Boeing 737 family primarily serves medium-haul routes, while the Q400 aircraft are used for shorter European connections. As part of its ongoing fleet modernization program, Luxair is introducing more fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX and Embraer E2 aircraft to improve passenger comfort and reduce emissions.
