Brussels Airlines is a Belgian airline. Lufthansa owns 45 percent of the shares in the company. In the course of 2009 Lufthansa's frequent flyer programme was integrated into Brussels Airlines network and since 9 December 2009, the Belgian airline has also been a member of the Star Alliance.
