Information about AirAsia Berhad
The Malaysian airline,Air Asia is a so-called low-cost airline, which provides flights primarily in the south Asian region. After a successful start in 1996, the airline founded the two subsidiary companies, Indonesian Air Asia in 1999 and Thai AirAsia in 2003, with which it flies mainly to destinations in Indonesia and Thailand. Since 2005 the airline has also been flying to China. After expansion, the Asia group established new hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Kuching, Kota Kina Bahru, Bangkok and Bali, and began operating international flights to Thailand, Indonesia, Macau and Singapore. The airline now serves 49 airports in total, including Alor Setar, Bintulu, Hat Yai, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Sandakan, Tawau and Xiamen.
