Airport Varna VAR

Varna Airport is a very important tourist airport in Bulgaria. It is close to the port of Varna, the capital of the province of the same name in north eastern Bulgaria. Together with Burgas Airport, Varna airport is one of the most important props of tourism in Bulgaria.

Location

The airport was opened in 1947 and is about 6 miles west of the city centre. From Varna use the A2 motorway towards Devnya and follow the signs to the airport.

Rail and bus passengers head for Varna main bus or train stations and then either use a taxi or the shuttle bus 409 that operates at 15 minute intervals and stops at the airport.
