Reykjavik Keflafik - Leifur Eiriksson International Airport is the main airport in the Republic of Iceland. The airport was first opened for civilian aviation in 1987 and is located about 50 km or 30 miles south west of the capital in the town of Keflavik. Between the airport and Reykjavik the Flybus operates a regular service. Current departure times are timed to coincide with the arrival and departure of flights. Alternatively, please use a taxi or a rental car to get to and from the airport.
