Las Palmas airport on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, is one of 100 largest airports in the world by traffic volume and one of the 25 busiest in Europe.No real off season exists and sun seeking north Europeans arrive 365 days a year to enjoy the pleasant climate and populate the famous beaches and sand dunes of the island group, mainly coming from England and Germany. Location
The airport is located about 18 km (11 miles) south of Las Palmas on the GC-1. Motorists should use the GC-1 towards Las Palmas and then follow the signs to the parking.
The public bus route No. 5 runs every day from platform 26 of the bus station from Las Palmas to the airport; Line 60 also stops at the airport and operates from platform 23 along with line 66, serving the airport from Maspalomas. For current departure times please enquire at the airport.
