British citizens can travel to Bali for 30 days without a visa. British nationals however do need a visa and must have at least 6 months remaining on their passport plus evidence (plane ticket) of their return or onward travel arrangements.

Although there are no mandatory inoculations necessary to travel to Bali, Hepatitis A, Typhus, Tetanus, Diphtheria are recommended by medical professionals. For your own safety, wash and peel or cook fruits and vegetables before consuming and only drink bottled water not tap water. Road conditions can be hazardous and you should avoid hiring mopeds or motorcycles during your stay. Under no circumstances should you use drugs in Bali. The laws regarding the use, consumption or selling of drugs are some of the strictest in the world, with long prison sentences and the death penalty as punishments.
