Festivals, attractions and the best time to travel

All-year round the weather is pleasant. On the 6th January is "Dia de los Reyes", the Three Wise Men celebration. This is an important Christmas festival in Spain. In February, from the 7th to the 13th, there is the Carnival and in August the "Gràcia" district holds a street party and major Fiesta. The 11th September is "La Diada de Catalunya" Catalonia's independence day.

El Prat Airport is approximately 12 km from the city centre and travel from there to the centre is straightforward. Aerobus A1 and A2 operate a  service to Plaça de Catalunya, the cost is ca. 6 EUR.
