Location
Opened in 1929, the airport is near the town of Morrisville, about 20 km or 14 miles northwest of downtown Raleigh and approximately 20 km or 14 miles southeast of downtown Durham. Access to the terminal is located either on the Interstate I-40, Junction 284b or 285 (Dan K. Moore Freeway) to Interstate I-540 at exit 2A (Aviation Parkway) or U.S. Highway 70 at Exit 293 (Aviation Parkway).
Between the airport and the Triangle Transit Center (RTP), in the southeast of Durham on Slater Road, the Route 747 (Triangle Transit Airport Shuttle) operates a regular service. From here there is a connection to Durham either with the bus routes 402, 403, 412 or 413 and to Raleigh with the bus routes 105 and 301
