Airport Lyon - Saint-Exupéry (Satolas) LYS

The southern French Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport, named after the author and flight pioneer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is in the Department of Rhône-Alpes, near the regional capital Lyon.

Location

The airport is about 20 km east of the city centre on the A43. By car the airport may be easily reached via the French motorways A42, A43, A47 and the connecting road, the A432. The airport is incorporated into the high-speed train network of the French railway by a TGV connection. There is also a shuttle bus from the main station in Lyon to the airport and vice versa with daily services running from 6 am to 11.30 pm. The so-called SATOBUS also has a daily service between the airport and important cities in the Rhône-Alpes region. There are also daily bus routes to other cities in the Provence such as Marseille, Nice and Cannes.
