Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is the largest and most important airport of the East African country, Kenya. it is also the busiest in East Africa by traffic volume and the hub of the national airline Kenya Airways.
Directions by car: The airport is about 12 km or 9 miles south east of the city centre and has its own access road( Airport South Road). It is also accessible via the A-109 motorway.

First in use in 1958, the airport is 12 km or 8 miles southeast of the city centre in the district of Embakasi. To reach the airport from the city centre use the South Airport Road where it is signposted; or on the motorway A-109. From the inner city the bus number 34 operates a daily service to the airport.
