Airport Marrakech-Menara RAK
Marrakech-Menara International Airport is the second largest airport in the north west African Kingdom of Morocco after Casablanca - Mohammed V International.- URL: Official website
- Parking: Yes; paid short and long-term parking
- Nearby cities: Marrakech (4 km)
- Directions by car: The airport is on the national highway 6010 towards Ait Dawd about 7 km or 4 miles south of the inner city.
Location
The airport is about 7 km or 4 miles south of Marrakesh city centre, next to the highway 6010 towards Ait Dawd. Between the airport and the city or the Medina (Djemaa el Fna) there is a regular bus service; current departure times are available locally. Alternatively there are also plenty of petite taxis at the airport. Taxi drivers in Marrakech demand double the amount normally charged in other Moroccan cities, be persistent in negotiating a fair price and if necessary, move on to the next driver.
