Airport Izmir Adnan Menderes ADB
Izmir Airport, officially called Izmir Adnan Menderes, is one of the most important airports in Turkey. The airport is near the port of the same name, also the capital of the province of Izmir.- URL: Official website

Location
Opened in 1987, the airport is about 10 miles south of the city centre. From Izmir, use the main road D-550 (Izmir-Aydin Otoyolu) southwards until just behind the suburb Gazikent and then follow the signs to the airport. The airport may also be easily reached via the O-31/E-87 motorway, the exit for the airport is about 6 miles east of the airport grounds.
Bus Passengers head for Izmir central bus station and then either use the minibus (Dolmus),, a taxi, or the Havaş shuttle bus that runs during the day time at 30 minute intervals from the Karşı Yaka square and the Alsancak Efes Hotel. Rail passengers may travel to the airport rail station which is served several times a day.
