Location
Established in 1981, the airport is located in Kurmitola, a suburb of Dhaka about 16 km or 11 miles north of Dhakas centre and about 4 km or 2 miles south of the suburb Tongi. A direct shuttle bus to Dhaka City is not currently available. Please use a car, taxi or Tuc-Tuc from the main road for the onward journey. From the central Saidabad Inter-District Bus Terminal (near the Atish Dipankar Road) in Dhaka there is a daily bus service to Tongi, this stops directly in front of the airport, if you ask the driver in advance.
