Ptrices in Lisbon are generally much lower than those in London, so for a capital city it is a bargain. Buying gGroceries and eating out can both be done on a fairly low budget. Seafood is a speciality - the sardines and Portuguese "soup" Cataplana are especially delicious. Expect to pay around 8 euros for a set menu lunch and don't forget to try the deserts.
Taxi and train from the airport, rooms and more
On arrival at the airport, those not looking to hire a car will be best off taking the shuttle to Terminal 1. This is where the metro stops that goes to Sadhana station, where it is possible to change to go to central Lisbon. Taxis willof course be far more expensive and even charge extra for luggage. The chances of catching a taxi at arrivals during the peak season is pretty slim - head to the departures area.
