Schiphol airport has a railway station that offers a direct connection to central Amsterdam. Train journeys take fifteen minutes or so and cost around 4 euros, bus travel takes approximately 35 minutes and taxis cost around 50 euros. A cheaper alternative is a 24 hour public transport ticket for around 8 euros (adult price) or approximately 3 euros (child price).
