First opened in 1947, the airport is located about 20 km or 14 miles northeast of the city centre. The signposted access to the airport terminal is on Avenida Domingo Diaz. There is currently no shuttle bus operating to Panama City. Please take the intercity bus that stops near the airport on the Panamericana. Alternatively, please take a taxi or rent a car.
