Islay Airport, also called Glenegedale Islay, is on the island of Islay in the Hebrides in the Irish Sea. The airport is managed and operated by the Airport Highlands and Islands Airports Limited, a company incorporated under the Scottish Transport Ministry operating from its base in Inverness and responsible for 10 small Scottish airports. Only limited amounts of flights are operated to and from the airport - Flybe for instance operate a service from Islay to Glasgow.

Location
The airport is located on the southwest coast, slightly less than 5 miles north of Ellen Port, the second largest city on Islay. Motorists should take the A846 towards Ellen Port and follow the signs to the airport.

A public bus operates daily services from the airport to all locations on the island. For departure times, please enquire at the airport terminal.
