Lion Air
Lion Air, is an Indonesian low cost airline which is also called PT Lion Mentari Airlines, founded in 1999 in Jakarta. From its hub in Jakarta, Lion air has been transferring passengers to numerous regional Indonesian airports since 2000. The airline now also possesses rights for destinations in Malaysia and Singapore.
For further growth, an additional 96 new aircraft were ordered from Boeing. Boeing said that Lion Air was to be the first customer for the newly constructed machines, called 737-900 ER.
