Fleet
Air Albania's fleet currently consists of two Airbus aircraft (A319, A320).
History
After "Albanian Airlines", the country's first national airline, had to cease operations in 2011 due to insolvency, plans were made to create a new national airline for Albania.
It was not until the summer of 2017 that the then Prime Minister of the country announced that he wanted to found a new airline for Albania with the help of the Turkish President Erdogan and Turkish Airlines, and on 21 November of the same year the new name of the airline was officially announced by the Prime Minister.
The official approval was finally granted on 16th May 2018. Turkish Airlines is the largest shareholder of the Albanian airline with 49.12%.
Network
Air Albania's route network currently comprises twelve different destinations that are regularly offered from its base at Tirana airport. These include several destinations in Italy, including flights from Tirana to Rome and Tirana to Milan, as well as important European hubs such as Istanbul, Frankfurt, London and Zurich.
