Fleet
Swoop's fleet currently consists of 10 Boeing 737-800s.
History
Swoop was founded in Calgary in September 2017 by the Canadian airline WestJet. The aim was to establish a completely new brand on the Canadian airline market in the form of a low-cost airline. The first official flight took place in June 2018. Shortly afterwards, WestJet announced that the new subsidiary would move its hubs to Edmonton and Hamilton due to the high costs, followed by Toronto as the third hub in 2020.
Network
From the three hubs in Edmonton, Toronto and Hamilton, there are regular flights to almost all major airports within Canada, including Kelowna, Saskatoon and Halifax. There are also numerous connections to the US West Coast, e.g. to Phoenix or Las Vegas, to the Caribbean and Mexico, including Cancun. In total, the route network comprises more than 30 connections.
